Florence Airport Weather
Florence is said to have a Mediterranean climate although sometimes Florence experiences Humid subtropical temperatures due to the surrounding hills protecting it from high winds and clouds.
Summer time in Florence can be hot, humid with very little rain but during the winter time it can become cool and damp. Florence in the summer time (June to August) can have temperatures higher than the coast lines making it hot and humid and dificult to walk around the city. Winters in Florence can be rainy and wet with occasional snow.
If you decided to hire a car in Florence for your stay, then please remember that during the summer time it can get very hot. Its advisable to take bottle water on your car journey and if you stop for any length of time, don‘t leave anyone in the car without the windows down. You may also need your sunglass for driving as the sun can be quite bright - so don’t forget to pack them!
If you are planning on walking around the city of Florence to get the best views and city sights, then please remember to take your sun screen as you will need protecting from the UV rays during the summer season.
As well as your comfy shoes you may want to take a hat to help protect your head whilst on your walk.
