Located four kilometres (approximately 15 minutes) from the centre of Florence, the Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport sits in an area of approximately 115 hectares between 'Castello' and 'Sesto Fiorentino'. The area at the north-west of Florence, lies between the "Firenze Nord" exit at the superhighway and Florence's industrial area next to ‘Prato‘.
Upon leaving the airport you will need the superhighway A1 and A11 heading for Florence city centre (Firenze Nord/Firenze Mare). You will need the turning Viale Guidoni of which you will drive the whole length of the road but it takes you straight into the city centre.
Driving around Florence
