Arrivals at Florence Airport
There is only one airport terminal at Florence Airport thus there will be only 1 arrivals area where you can meet and greet your family and friends. From this area you will also be able to collect your hire car, meet your private transfer or catch your train or catch a bus.
In the Arrivals hall there are a number of airport facilities for your conveniences upon arriving in Florence. There is an information desk that is open from 8.30am to 6.30pm offering information to tourists that are new Florence! You can also get information on flight arrivals and flight departures in real time and if you where unfortunate enough to loose your luggage then you will also be able to get information at the Lost Baggage Desk.
Within the Public Area you will find several shops such as ’In Vista’ for sunglasses, sight lenses or cameras, ‘Giunti al Punto’ for news papers, tobaccos, books and CD’s which is great if the flight is delayed and you have a long wait for your arriving family or friends!
You will also find the bank ‘Banca Toscana’ within the public area and a currency exchange bureau called ‘Best and Fast Change’ that offer over 40 different currencies and nearer to the check-in area you will find the VAT refund desk ‘Global Refund’ where all non EU residents flying outside of the UE can claim back their VAT with receipts and proof of purchase.
